So I was cleaning out the gutters on the house the other day, I had taken a much needed extra day off work thought I'd spend some time on the house. So I grabbed the things I needed did the back of the house and decided I'd tie Dingo to the beams across the front of the house so I loop her leash clip it on her open the door and invite her out (I use that term lightly cause she doesn't just yet fully understand the concept).
She is a puppy so she runs, and the next thing I know the post comes flying at me I jumped on her leash and didn't have to chase her down thankfully. I called Roy cause he was at work, he didn't answer, called number 5, and Roy called me back, I told him what happened and he was just as surprised, I called dad he didn't answer so I toke some photos, called number 2 and she explained it was most likely a cosmetic post and not to worry.
After further inspecting it there was only 3 screws holding it on and some silicon. My dad came over and says basically what ever just put the post back up, no big deal. Witch if you know my dad is kinda a very mild response to what we would have seen years ago.
So when I was checking out where the siding was coming off I noticed there was a wasps nest in the ceiling next to the post as some of my family is allergic to some bugs, and I've never been stung I went inside and awaited Roy's return. When he got home he was was going to go deal with it (since its not a spider or a snake).
We had one of those large plastic candy canes left over, like at the register filled with candy. In the garage we keep meaning put in the trash it just never makes it. Well its long and flat at one end Roy decided he was going to smash the nest. He goes outside with a step ladder and the cane. I hear a loud noise followed by several other frantic hits then running feet. Roy comes back in and says well its mad. He had just managed to destroy the recently revealed hide out. The wasp had chased Roy across the whole front of the house to the garage .
Good news is its moved on no signs of the wasp so far, bad news our front porch looks ghetto.
We watched The Avengers today it was fantastic! i really enjoyed it.
P.S. on the candy cane, i always wanted one, growing up i wanted one so bad. i was always told know. i finally decided i was going to get one it was filled with licorice as you can see it still is. that's because the candy was nasty. don't buy them don't waste your money and have your kids read this. they want something else.
